Deck overview

This competitive Sultai deck uses Thranduil, the Elvenking to turn the graveyard into an activated ability toolbox. The primary win condition leverages a zero-basic mana base. Activating Hermit Druid mills the entire library into the graveyard. Thranduil inherits the mana production of Bloom Tender, the untap ability of Devoted Druid, and the power pump of Ezuri, Renegade Leader. This interaction generates infinite mana and infinite power. Thranduil then uses Deathrite Shaman's ability to exile instant and sorcery cards from the graveyard, untapping repeatedly to drain all opponents for lethal damage on the spot. Backed by explosive 0-1 CMC fast mana, premier tutors, and free countermagic like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, the deck reliably attempts protected wins on Turn 3 while maintaining strong secondary plans through Staff of Domination and Craterhoof Behemoth.
