THE WALLS by user4530542

Format: Commander

Commander: Arcades, the Strategist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a defender-aggro deck built around Arcades, the Strategist, who turns high-toughness walls into attackers and draws a card for each one that enters. The primary plan is to drop Arcades by turn three, chain cheap walls to build a huge board and hand, then win via Triumph of the Hordes' infect or Craterhoof Behemoth's overrun. Secondary lines use Wingmantle Chaplain's bird swarm and the redundant enablers Assault Formation and High Alert. The deck has a low curve, strong card draw, and good instant-speed protection, but its dependence on ETB triggers and a wide creature board makes it soft to Torpor Orb and mass removal.
