Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mono-Black Aristocrats and Stax engine commanded by Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. The strategy focuses on deploying low-cost creatures with power 1 or less that carry potent enter-the-battlefield or death triggers. Once Shirei and a free sacrifice outlet enter the battlefield, you sacrifice these small creatures on every player's turn. Shirei returns them to play at the beginning of each player's end step, generating four triggers per table rotation. This engine rapidly locks opponents out of the game by forcing repeated discards with Burglar Rat and board wipes with Grave Pact. While opponents are stranded in top-deck mode, recurring drain pieces like Blood Artist and Serrated Scorpion deplete opposing life totals. Fast black mana acceleration and targeted protection spells ensure Shirei lands ahead of curve and survives opposing removal.
