Gandalf Flame Of Anor by clpetrie

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf the Grey

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf the Grey leads an Izzet spell-spam engine. It stacks cast triggers such as Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, and Erebor Flamesmith, draws through cheap instants and sorceries, and aims to assemble the Archaeomancer + Gilded Lotus + Ghostly Flicker loop. Once a damage trigger is on board, Ghostly Flicker can be recast repeatedly while Gilded Lotus untaps, dealing enough damage to eliminate every opponent. Secondary paths include a Treasure burst through Storm-Kiln Artist into Fireball or Electrodominance, copied by Gandalf or Display of Power, plus a slower drake beatdown from Talrand and Murmuring Mystic. Gandalf is used mainly as a copy-and-ping multiplier, and flicker effects can reset his modes.
