Bello, Bard of the Brambles by joshboud

Format: Commander

Commander: Bello, Bard of the Brambles

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a midrange Gruul deck built around Bello, Bard of the Brambles and his unique ability to animate all non-Equipment artifacts and non-Aura enchantments with mana value 4 or greater into 4/4 Elemental creatures with indestructible, haste, and combat-damage card draw. The deck packs 29 such permanents - including mana rocks like Thran Dynamo, enchantment-based draw like Guardian Project, and game-ending damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation and Gratuitous Violence. It wins through combat, using Bello's animation to turn a board full of value permanents into a hasty, hard-to-remove army that grows its card advantage with each hit. Secondary lines include token generation from Esika's Chariot and Sandwurm Convergence, plus the occasional huge creature like Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The deck has no infinite combos and relies almost entirely on its commander to function.
