Ruthless Aggression by TrueConvictionMTG

Format: Commander

Commander: Azula, Ruthless Firebender

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Azula, Ruthless Firebender leads a mono-black discard-control deck that turns every discarded card into experience counters, tokens, cards, and black mana. The main path is to force at least one discard from each opponent before combat, stack 4 experience counters per attack, then pay {2}{B} to make Azula a lethal menace attacker. Waste Not, The Raven Man, and Bone Miser provide the fuel, while Dark Deal, Geier Reach Sanitarium, and Syphon Mind create the mass-discard windows. Gray Merchant, Bastion of Remembrance, and Fire Nation Salvagers offer alternate drain and theft angles. The deck is slow and linear, with no meaningful protections, so it needs to control the timing of its discard triggers carefully. The Raven Man acts as the de facto hidden commander, supplying the repeatable discard the deck revolves around.
