Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Artifact Control and Combo strategy helmed by Shorikai, Genesis Engine. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient low-cost mana rocks and cost reducers to cast Shorikai ahead of curve on Turn 3. Once established, Shorikai operates from the command zone as a noncreature artifact draw engine, generating card advantage and Pilot tokens each turn cycle while avoiding creature board wipes. The control suite utilizes dense, efficient countermagic, spot exile removal, and sweepers such as Sunfall and Terminus to stall aggressive opponents. The deck closes the game via compact infinite combos, primarily Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal with nonland mana producers. This loop generates infinite mana and infinite untaps of Shorikai to draw the entire library and win immediately with Laboratory Maniac or by milling the table with Altar of the Brood. Secondary lines with Mystic Forge and Sensei's Divining Top provide excellent redundancy.
