Deck overview

This is a Rakdos treasure-and-burn combo deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable. The core plan is to ramp hard, deploy Smaug, then deal noncombat damage to him so his trigger floods the board with Treasures while indestructible haste keeps him online. Payoffs convert those Treasures into drain (via Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, Mayhem Devil), pure damage (via Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, Weftstalker Ardent), or an alternate win with Revel in Riches. Dedicated damage amplifiers-Pain for All, Blazing Sunsteel, Arcbond, Pyrohemia, and Pestilence-turn any ping into table-wide elimination or infinite Treasure loops. Secondary paths include combat with Goldspan Dragon or Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought and symmetric wipes that Smaug simply shrugs off. The deck plays as a fast, explosive midrange combo list that weaponizes its own commander as both engine and outlet.
