Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable is a Rakdos combo and ramp deck designed to exploit its indestructible commander. Smaug generates a Treasure token whenever it suffers noncombat damage. The deck weaponizes large damage spells like Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, and Fire Covenant, or continuous damage engines like Pyrohemia and Pestilence, to produce massive amounts of Treasure. It then converts this avalanche of mana into game-ending burn through Mirkwood Bats, Ingenious Artillerist, Exsanguinate, or Torment of Hailfire. Secondary win lines include an infinite Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Clock of Omens engine or Brash Taunter damage reflections.
