Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck is commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, focusing on recursive sacrifice loops, board control, and incremental life drain. The primary game plan establishes recurring creature fodder and sacrifice outlets by Turn 4, enabling Sephiroth to attack, generate card advantage, and trigger death drains. On Turn 5, the deck engineers four creature deaths to transform Sephiroth, securing the permanent Super Nova emblem. This emblem continuously drains opponents whenever any creature dies. Supported by redundant drain payoffs like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Marionette Apprentice, as well as heavy attrition engines like Braids, Arisen Nightmare and Plaguecrafter, the deck steadily depletes opposing life totals and cleanses creature boards, culminating in a table finish by Turn 7. The strategy features high resilience through graveyard recursion, but remains vulnerable to rest-in-peace style exile effects and countermagic.
