Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The primary plan focuses on deploying Vivi on Turn 3 and casting low-cost noncreature spells starting on Turn 4. Every noncreature spell adds a +1/+1 counter to Vivi and deals 1 damage to each opponent, steadily eroding opposing life totals while growing Vivi into a formidable threat. Vivi's ability to generate mana equal to its power once per turn fuels explosive sequences, allowing you to cast multiple spells in a single turn cycle. High-end payoffs like Tellah, Great Sage, Prismari, the Inspiration, and Nibelheim Aflame convert spell velocity into card advantage, board control, and table-wide burn. The deck runs a high density of interchangeable cantrips and removal spells rather than specific tutors. While capable of burst damage, the plan relies heavily on Vivi remaining on the battlefield with minimal dedicated protection.
