Deck overview

This is a Golgari value-grind deck built around Smeagol, Helpful Guide and the Ring tempts mechanic. The primary plan is to trigger the Ring as often as possible so Smeagol mills opponents while stealing lands from their libraries and putting them onto the battlefield tapped, generating both ramp and graveyard fuel. From there, the deck converts death triggers into table-wide drain via Syr Konrad, the Grim, Meathook Massacre II, Sothera, the Supervoid, and Funeral Room // Awakening Hall, then rebuilds through mass reanimation. A secondary combat angle exists through earthbend cards like Badgermole, Loading Zone, and Dai Li Agents, which turn animated lands and counter-carrying creatures into evasive, trampling beaters. The deck runs no infinite combos; it wins through attrition, land-based value, and repeated drain effects in the mid-to-late game.
