Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An Orzhov vampire tribal lifegain/drain deck helmed by Astarion, the Decadent. The engine is simple: gain life through lifelink, extort, and death triggers, then convert every point into opponent damage via Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Defiant Bloodlord. The primary kill is the infinite loop those payoffs share with Bloodthirsty Conqueror, while Debt to the Deathless, Sorin's Vengeance, and Astarion's end-step Feed supply burst reach. A beatdown channel - vampire lords, Edgar, Charmed Groom, Clavileno, First of the Blessed, and Bloodline Keeper tokens - keeps pressure on and feeds Blood Artist drains. The deck plays a deliberately slow midrange game: heavy on symmetric wipes and tapped lands, with no tutors and no counterspells, trading tempo for inevitability in the life-total war. Mister Negative and Twilight Prophet provide the late-game card advantage that pushes it over the top.
