Deck overview

This Boros lifegain deck is helmed by Bre of Clan Stoutarm, a commander that turns life gain into a card-advantage engine by exiling cards from the top of your library each end step and letting you cast them for free (or put them into your hand). The primary game plan is to establish early lifegain triggers (Soul Warden, Authority of the Consuls), ramp into Bre, then use her ability to chain into high-impact spells. The deck also packs a fearsome damage-doubling subtheme: Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Heartless Hidetsugu form a lethal combo that halves each opponent's life total and doubles the damage, while Felidar Sovereign, Angel of Destiny, and Aetherflux Reservoir provide alternate life-based wins. Combat is supported by extra-combat cards like Aurelia, the Warleader and a suite of double-strike enablers. The deck is resilient and can pivot between life-total thresholds and combo finishes, but its speed is moderate and its stack interaction is limited.
