Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Toughness-Matters combat strategy led by Doran, Besieged by Time. Doran reduces the casting cost of high-toughness creatures and grants them massive +X/+X stat boosts whenever they attack or block, scaling with the difference between their power and toughness. The deck utilizes efficient walls and defenders like Wall of Blossoms, Wall of Omens, and Unhallowed Phalanx as low-cost beaters that hit for immense damage once Doran enters the battlefield. It incorporates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover cards alongside classic Abzan recursion and removal. Combat damage is supported by alternate toughness-combat engines such as Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, and Felothar the Steadfast. Asymmetric sweepers like Fell the Mighty clear opposing boards while sparing your low-power army, allowing the deck to close games through overwhelming combat damage across turns 6 to 8.
