Deck overview

Led by Tannuk, Steadfast Second, this mono-red deck revolves around aggressive mana cheating and explosive combat. Tannuk provides two powerful static abilities: granting all other creatures haste and giving every artifact and red creature card in hand warp {2}{R}. This discount enables the deck to deploy massive high-cost threats—such as Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, Bygone Colossus, and N'Yami-Class Mother Ship—far ahead of curve on Turn 5, attacking immediately for substantial damage before exiling them for later recasting. Supported by burn amplifiers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and token engines like Draconic Visitor, the deck swiftly transitions from early ramp to overwhelming mid-game board pressure. While it packs potent damage-based removal and situational stax via Zhao, the Moon Slayer, the strategy relies heavily on combat connections and lacks stack-based protection, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and instant-speed removal.
