EEEVVVILLLLL by SageRageMage

Format: Commander

Commander: Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord leads a mono-black midrange Villain deck that uses cost reduction and repeatable connive triggers to chain Villains into a wide, growing board and a full graveyard. The primary plan is to out-value opponents with cheap Villain drops backed by Black Market Connections, Madame Masque, Doctor Doom, and token makers, then close with combat and life drain. The secondary plan is a self-mill/recursion engine keyed by Baron Helmut Zemo and reanimation spells, allowing recursive Villains and copied black spells. Doom Reigns Supreme and Grievous Wound provide alternate damage acceleration. The commander is a tempo engine rather than a required combo piece, and Tombstone plus Jet Medallion partially replace the discount if Baron is unavailable.
