Deck overview

This mono-blue deck leverages Vnwxt, Verbose Host to unlock explosive card advantage through the speed mechanic. By deploying an unblockable 1-drop creature on Turn 1 and casting Vnwxt on Turn 2, the deck steadily attacks each turn to hit Max Speed (Speed 4) on Turn 4. Once Max Speed is active, Vnwxt doubles every card drawn while removing maximum hand size. This turns modest cantrips and wheels—such as Tolarian Winds, Windfall, and Brainsurge—into massive draw surges that dig through dozens of cards. The deck translates this card volume into victory via Psychosis Crawler life drain, Psychic Corrosion mill, or exiling the library with Leveler into Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. A dense suite of free counterspells ensures robust protection during development and execution.
