Deck overview

This Simic midrange deck combines planeswalker loyalty synergies with overwhelming combat pressure. Led by Kiora of Salt and Sand, the strategy leverages the 'Empower Jace' mechanic to create and fuel Jace planeswalker tokens. Activating loyalty abilities triggers Kiora to untap an attacking creature and grant it unblockability each turn. Once loyalty pools reach 8 or more, Kiora's static ability allows any planeswalker to ultimate and create an 8/8 blue Leviathan token with hexproof. The deck backs up this strategy with high-impact standalone threats like Ghalta the Unstoppable, Verdant Kraken, and Garruk, Curse Breaker. While the deck possesses resilient hexproof beaters and solid card advantage, it relies on multi-turn combat cycles to eliminate the table and must carefully manage its counterspells to defend planeswalkers against board wipes and aggressive attackers.
