Deck overview

This deck is a casual Sultai Voltron and stompy build commanded by Indominus Rex, Alpha. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the early turns using green ramp spells and mana dorks, then casts Indominus Rex, Alpha on Turn 4 or 5. As the commander enters, it discards low-cost creatures featuring combat keywords—such as flying, deathtouch, menace, lifelink, trample, and haste—entering with those keyword counters and immediately refilling the hand. The deck then applies combat pressure by swinging with an evasive, high-power commander, amplified by power doublers like Unnatural Growth or massive follow-up threats like Ghalta, Primal Hunger. Because the list lacks built-in hexproof creatures in the 99, Indominus Rex, Alpha relies on a small suite of instant-speed protection spells. With no infinite combos, tutors, or stax pieces, the deck wins through honest combat damage across multiple table rotations, offering clear synergy and hand replenishment while remaining vulnerable to board wipes and targeted interaction.
