Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Aristocrats engine commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost, self-recurring creatures such as Gravecrawler, Bloodsoaked Champion, and Forsaken Miner to fuel sacrifice outlets and trigger Sephiroth's card-draw ability. By engineering four creature deaths in a single turn, the deck transforms its commander into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, generating an emblem that permanently drains opponents whenever any creature dies. The deck establishes oppressive control over creature-based strategies using Grave Pact, Braids, Arisen Nightmare, and recurring Fleshbag Marauder variants. Life totals are rapidly depleted through stacked drain triggers from Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Marionette Apprentice, while Bolas's Citadel and Westvale Abbey provide alternate closing lines.
