Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Boros Equipment aggro deck led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning combines first strike, trample, and lifelink with the Stagger mechanic. Stagger triggers during the first strike damage step to double all subsequent damage dealt to the defending player, turning modest power boosts into lethal strikes within a single combat. The deck accelerates into early deployment with low-cost mana rocks, searches for key weapons using a dense tutor suite, and bypasses heavy equip costs through enablers like Sigarda's Aid, Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, and Forge Anew. Supporting pieces like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and extra-combat engines such as Aggravated Assault allow single-target attacks to eliminate the entire table in rapid succession. Robust protection packages, including free defensive spells and silence effects, secure the combat step against opposing interaction.
