Deck overview

This Thraximundar deck operates as a resilient Grixis sacrifice, stax, and combo engine. In the opening turns, it accelerates its mana curve with efficient two-mana artifacts and deploys recurring token generators like Ophiomancer, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Gravecrawler. The deck then establishes overwhelming board control through asymmetric attrition engines, using Braids, Cabal Minion, Smokestack, Grave Pact, and Tergrid, God of Fright to systematically strip opponents of creatures and lands while breaking parity with disposable tokens. Card draw engines like Skullclamp and Braids, Arisen Nightmare keep the hand full of resources and tutors. Once opposing development is crippled, the deck transitions into its primary win condition: an infinite damage loop between Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion, which eliminates all three opponents in a single turn. Alternatively, Thraximundar provides a potent combat clock, growing rapidly from forced sacrifices and threatening one-shot lethal commander damage when equipped with Grafted Exoskeleton.
