Black Drain by TsulKalu

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-octane mono-black life-pay synergy deck built around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The commander turns every black mana symbol into a life-payment option, enabling explosive rituals and discounted spellcasting. The primary game plan is to assemble the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond infinite-life-drain loop, often tutored for by the dense tutor suite, and then trigger it with a cheap drain effect (Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat, or a simple creature sacrifice). Backup wins include a massive Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate powered by Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, and Bolas's Citadel to chain spells from the top of the library. The deck is heavily reliant on its commander for speed and mana efficiency, but the combo lines live entirely in the 99, so it can still function without him.
