Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Edgar Markov to lead an aggressive Vampire tribal and aristocrats strategy. By leveraging the Eminence ability from the command zone, every low-cost Vampire cast automatically generates a 1/1 Vampire token, rapidly creating a wide board presence without expending extra mana or cards. In the early game, the deck curves out with low-CMC creatures and value engines like Cordial Vampire and Charismatic Conqueror. In the midgame, it transitions into lethal pressure by deploying Edgar Markov for team-wide +1/+1 counters, doubling life loss with Bloodletter of Aclazotz, or casting decisive combat spells like Akroma's Will. The deck backs up its board presence with free protection spells like Flawless Maneuver and Deflecting Swat, while card-draw engines like Necropotence and The One Ring ensure sustained resource replenishment. It reliably eliminates opponents through overwhelming combat damage and life-drain effects by Turn 7.
