Deck overview

Aragorn, King of Gondor pilots a Jeskai monarch deck that weaponizes the monarchy: become the monarch as early as turn three, use the crown's extra draw to run away on cards, and convert that advantage into an unblockable Human army. While Aragorn is the monarch, no creatures can block, so every token, Legendary Human, and anthem effect turns into guaranteed damage. The deck's primary finish is a single-turn alpha strike - a wide board made lethal by Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Eowyn, Shieldmaiden, Forth Eorlingas!, and lords like Theoden, King of Rohan and Beregond of the Guard, then multiplied by extra combats from Combat Celebrant and Breath of Fury. Secondary lines include monarch burn from Court of Embereth and endless value copying with Court of Vantress. Defensively, attack taxes, counterspells, and protection pieces keep the throne secure until the kill.
