Auntie Ool by Turtle1026

Format: Commander

Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund -1/-1 counter deck helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, whose ward-blight tax and triggered draw/ping turn every counter you place into raw card advantage. The deck spreads -1/-1 counters through wither, proliferate, and counter-moving effects, then converts them into value via Flourishing Defenses (Elf tokens), Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons (deathtouch snakes), and theft permanents like Necroskitter and The Reaper, King No More. Primary wins come from grinding out with wither creatures behind a Kulrath Knight lock, or assembling a Devoted Druid-based infinite mana loop into a mass counter payoff like Black Sun's Zenith. It is a slow, value-dense midrange deck that wins through attrition and incremental advantage rather than speed.
