Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Betor, Ancestor's Voice is a lifegain-and-recursion engine that converts every point of life gained into +1/+1 counters and every point lost into a creature reanimation. The deck's primary plan is to establish a repeatable lifegain source-such as Soul's Attendant, Essence Warden, or Vito-then turn that life into a massive board with Archangel of Thune, Lathiel, Branching Evolution, and Kami of Whispered Hopes. A secondary plan uses self-mill and payoff creatures like Darkstar Augur, Doom Whisperer, and Ripples of Undeath to fill the graveyard, then reanimates with Betor, Reanimate, Moseo, and Eerie Ultimatum. The hidden commander is K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, which accelerates black costs and feeds both the lifegain and life-loss requirements while growing with counters. Combat via a wide, tall, lifelinked board is the usual finish, often with Vito converting lifegain directly into opponent life loss.
