Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Dimir Horror tribal and exile-voltron strategy commanded by Umbris, Fear Manifest. The primary game plan accelerates mana through fast artifacts and rituals to deploy Umbris ahead of curve on Turn 4. Once assembled, the deck leverages high-impact mass-exile and mill spells such as Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Leyline of the Void, and Planar Void to rapidly inflate Umbris's power into lethal one-shot territory. Evasion enablers like Aqueous Form and Cover of Darkness allow Umbris to systematically eliminate opponents in consecutive combat phases by Turn 7. Secondary win conditions include an alternate table mill lockout via Bruvac the Grandiloquent and a kicked Maddening Cacophony, alongside asymmetric creature suppression from Toxrill, the Corrosive and Sludge Monster. Supported by targeted black tutors, countermagic, and sweepers, the deck maintains steady pressure while dismantling opposing graveyards and board states.
