Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender turns every nontoken artifact you control into a land, so the cheap artifacts in this deck double as bonus lands and landfall triggers. The deck uses those artifact-lands to power landfall engines such as Lotus Cobra, Tireless Provisioner, and Omnath, while Toph's end-step earthbending makes a spell land creature attacker. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher is a hidden second commander in the 99, adding earthstorm counters and returning spells from the graveyard. The primary finish is Moraug, Fury of Akoum: with Toph in play, each cast artifact enters as a land, granting an extra combat and making an artifact-heavy turn lethal against three opponents.
