Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is a spell-heavy Esper control/drain deck. Its primary plan is to cast noncreature spells early and often, using Y'shtola to add 2 damage and 2 life per costly spell while her end-step trigger converts the cumulative chip damage into extra cards. The turnlevers are the Alisaie/Alphinaud partner pair plus cost-cutters like Lyse and Hext, giving the deck multiple spells per turn. The main kill path concentrates instant and sorcery cards in the same graveyard, then uses Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian with Bloodletter of Aclazotz to double a lethal end-step drain. Exsanguinate and large token attacks are secondary paths. The hidden non-commander engine is the Alisaie/Alphinaud pair; they do not count as an official commander but operate as one.
