Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact Voltron and big-mana strategy piloted by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man. The primary game plan deploys Tony Stark on Turn 2, uses his activated ability and early mana rocks to sculpt a hand with high-impact artifacts, and transforms him on Turn 5 for {4}{U}{R}. Upon transforming, The Invincible Iron Man gains flying and haste, triggering at the beginning of combat to cheat massive Equipment and artifact threats like Excalibur, Sword of Eden, Aettir and Priwen, Genji Glove, and Portal to Phyrexia directly into play attached and ready to attack. The deck applies heavy single-target commander damage on Turn 5, leveraging extra combats from Seize the Day, World at War, or Genji Glove and asymmetric wipes like Chandra's Ignition to eliminate all three opponents by Turn 7. The strategy is shielded by efficient countermagic and redirection, with resilient backup plans through Urza, Lord High Artificer and Simulacrum Synthesizer.
