Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger strategy built around Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. The primary game plan revolves around casting dense, low-mana noncreature cantrips and burn spells while accumulating Wizard tokens and burn creatures on the battlefield. Each noncreature spell triggers damage to all opponents simultaneously. As Kuja amasses four Wizards, he transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, doubling all Wizard damage and accelerating life total depletion. Mana velocity is sustained through early artifact ramp, Dark Ritual, Runaway Steam-Kin, and Storm-Kiln Artist, while graveyard recursion like Past in Flames and Mizzix's Mastery allows explosive storm turns. The list also houses a compact infinite storm and mana combo in Storm-Kiln Artist and Haze of Rage. While the deck boasts flexible spot removal and high functional redundancy among pingers, it lacks stack countermagic and dedicated protection spells, leaving its creature-based engine vulnerable to timely board wipes and interaction.
