Commander: The Scarab God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Dimir Zombie tribal deck helmed by The Scarab God, built around a distinctive "extra beginning phase" engine - Sphinx of the Second Sun, Shadow of the Second Sun, and Paradox Haze - that multiplies every upkeep trigger in the deck. The commander's upkeep drain-and-scry scales with the zombie count, so the core loop is: build a wide zombie horde, then multiply upkeeps to drain the table out. A clone package (Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Spark Double, Cleaver Skaab) doubles the Scarab God or key zombies, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz doubles all life loss on your turn, turning both the drain and combat damage into a lethal clock. Secondary wins include a wide combat horde (Army of the Damned) and the alternate Mechanized Production condition. This is a midrange value deck that wins through incremental advantage rather than fast combos.
