Smaugs Treasures by user6954936

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Red Treasures deck built around Smaug, the Magnificent as a hasty, scaling finisher. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with Treasure tokens, convert them into more dragons/artifacts, and close out with Smaug's attack trigger or mono-red burn payoffs. Secondary paths are an extra-combat loop with Aggravated Assault and a Treasure-positive attacker, and the Hellkite Tyrant + Mycosynth Lattice artifact-win combo. Smaug is a payoff rather than an engine: he supplies a little value and can snipe planeswalkers/players, but the deck still functions without him. There is no hidden commander.
