Deck overview

This deck is a classic five-color political pillowfort and forced-combat strategy helmed by Karona, False God. Its game plan revolves around hiding behind defensive fortifications such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Sphere of Safety while unleashing Karona equipped with Assault Suit or modified by the 'Vow' cycle of auras. Under these effects, Karona passes around the table on each player's upkeep, forcing opponents to attack one another with a rapidly scaling commander while being legally barred from attacking the pilot. A suite of Curses incentivizes aggressive play between adversaries, draining their life totals and creature boards. If the Karona plan is contested, the deck transitions to high-impact enchantment payoffs like Sigil of the Empty Throne, heavy beaters like Akroma, Vision of Ixidor, or the sudden alternate win condition of casting Phage the Untouchable followed by Fractured Identity to eliminate all opponents simultaneously.
