Deck overview

This Selesnya lifegain token deck, helmed by Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, turns every creature entering the battlefield into a life-gain trigger while leveraging populate to double down on tokens. The game plan is to snowball incremental life into massive board presence: your commander gains you life equal to each new creature's toughness, then its populate ability (or cards like Song of the Worldsoul and Rootborn Defenses) copies your best token repeatedly. The life total becomes a resource to pair with Aetherflux Reservoir, Storm Herd, or Halo Fountain's alternate win condition. The deck also runs a heavy +1/+1 counter subtheme, using Archangel of Thune, Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn, and Nykthos Paragon to turn each point of life into permanent power growth. While it lacks combo lines or instant-speed stack interaction, its redundancy of life-gain triggers and token generators makes it a classic grind-and-swarm engine that wins by gradual inevitability.
