Deck overview

This Golgari deck transforms the battlefield into a feast using Ygra, Eater of All. By turning every other creature into a Food artifact, Ygra weaponizes green artifact sweepers like Creeping Corrosion, Fade from History, and Bane of Progress into asymmetric one-sided board wipes. Each creature and artifact destroyed feeds Ygra two +1/+1 counters, immediately turning the commander into a lethal 20+ power juggernaut with trample. The deck supports this aggressive Voltron finish with an aristocrats engine featuring Blood Artist, Marionette Apprentice, and Mirkwood Bats, which drain opponents whenever Foods or creatures enter and leave play. In addition, the synergy between Peregrin Took and Experimental Confectioner provides an infinite card-draw and token loop that can close games instantly. Solid ramp and token redundancy ensure fast recovery and steady development, making the deck resilient against creature-heavy tables while presenting a rapid clock.
