Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Syr Konrad, the Grim as both an engine outlet and a primary win condition. By combining universal mill, creature sacrifice, and graveyard reanimation, the deck turns routine zone changes into direct life loss for all opponents. Early turns focus on mana development and establishing card advantage through pieces like Black Market Connections and Braids, Arisen Nightmare. In the mid game, the deck disrupts opposing boards with asymmetric edicts like Braids, Cabal Minion and Tergrid, God of Fright while loading graveyards with Buried Alive and Mesmeric Orb. Winning lines include chaining Konrad triggers with Mindcrank, executing mass graveyard swaps with Morality Shift, casting game-ending bombs like Breach the Multiverse, or assembling the deterministic Bloodchief Ascension plus Mindcrank infinite combo. While vulnerable to early graveyard exile and lacking stack counterplay, its density of reanimation gives it strong staying power.
