Deck overview

This Selesnya stompy deck leverages Hamza, Guardian of Arashin to turn +1/+1 counters into generic mana acceleration for creature spells. During the opening turns, the deck deploys low-cost creatures that enter with or generate counters, such as Botanical Brawler, Star Pupil, and Tender Wildguide. This early board presence reduces Hamza's casting cost, allowing the commander to hit the battlefield as early as Turn 4. Once Hamza is established, every subsequent creature spell receives a substantial discount, enabling you to chain large hydras and draw engines in rapid succession. The deck converts this mana advantage into a lethal clock using explosive stat multipliers like Kalonian Hydra and Sovereign Okinec Ahau, while granting evasion through Champion of Lambholt and Kodama of the West Tree. Robust protection spells like Flawless Maneuver and Tyrant Guard shield your growing board from conventional board wipes, ensuring a consistent combat finish around Turn 7.
