Deck overview

This is a commander-damage tempo deck built around Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The plan is linear: ramp through turns one to three, deploy Xyris on turn four or five, then use a dense suite of cheap hexproof/indestructible instants to keep him alive while roughly two dozen interchangeable pump spells turn him into a one-shot, 21+ commander-damage killer. Xyris is simultaneously the engine, the draw spell, and the beater - every connect draws cards for both players, and those extra opponent draws generate 1/1 Snake tokens that act as blockers and a slow alt-army. The deck has no infinite combos and almost no tutors; it wins through redundancy and combat-trick math. Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion, Sunder Shaman, and Geode Golem serve as secondary carriers for the pump suite if Xyris is priced out of the game. Its structural costs are a tapped-land-heavy manabase and effectively no recursion.
