Lord of pain by user5853187

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of Pain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Rakdos group-slug deck wins by stacking damage whenever opponents cast spells or draw cards. The Lord of Pain anchors the plan: he blocks life gain and deals damage equal to each first spell each turn, turning normal game actions into life loss. Redundant punishers like Spellshock, Kaervek the Merciless, Fate Unraveler and Spiteful Visions multiply the pings, while Ojer Axonil upgrades small hits to 4 damage and Wound Reflection doubles end-step losses. Secondary paths use Gray Merchant of Asphodel for burst drain and goad from Karazikar and Kardur to force attacks. Kaervek acts as a hidden commander that replicates the Lord's effect on every spell.
