Deck overview

Edgar Markov is an eminence-driven Vampire token engine. The deck floods the board with cheap Vampires, multiplies them with token effects, and wins through anthem-boosted combat or the Vito/Bloodthirsty Conqueror life-loss loop. Edgar's second role is tempo: when cast, he gives the horde haste and +1/+1 counters on attack. There is no double-faced commander or hidden commander; the list leans on Edgar's command-zone emblem and can function without ever casting him. Secondary paths include aristocrat drain (Blood Artist, Mirkwood Bats, Elas il-Kor) and graveyard recursion through Carmen and Tarrian's Journal, but the primary plan is a wide Vampire swarm that pressures all opponents at once.
