Deck overview

This Abzan deck uses Kathril, Aspect Warper as a powerful Voltron commander powered by a keyword-dense creature suite. The primary game plan stocks the graveyard with multi-keyword threats like Zetalpa, Primal Dawn, Sire of Seven Deaths, and Blor the Impervious using targeted entomb effects or self-mill. When Kathril resolves, it distributes counters for abilities like double strike, flying, trample, hexproof, and indestructible, becoming a massive lethal threat capable of eliminating opponents in single combat attacks. Supporting reanimation spells like Reanimate and Victimize provide resilient backup lines, while instant-speed protection cards ensure Kathril survives to close out the table.
