Vitoo by Wodnik

Format: Commander

Commander: Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black life-drain combo deck built around Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Vito serves as the primary payoff and a combo piece: whenever you gain life, an opponent loses that much life. The deck aims to assemble a redundant loop, usually a Vito-effect (Vito, Enduring Tenacity, or Starscape Cleric) with a Blood-effect (Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror), then trigger it with any life gain: a cast creature under Bontu's Monument, a lifelink attacker, or Aetherflux Reservoir. Secondary plans use Bloodletter of Aclazotz with Peer into the Abyss or Grievous Wound plus Unstoppable Slasher to double halved life totals into lethal. Heavy draw and two tutors keep the combo pieces findable.
