Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck is built around Jace, Vryn's Prodigy and the Jace planeswalker family, utilizing specialized empower mechanics to generate massive loyalty pools. In the early game, the deck stabilizes using high-toughness defensive blockers such as Fog Bank, Guard Gomazoa, and Hover Barrier alongside Propaganda and efficient countermagic. Jace, Vryn's Prodigy loots through the library, transforms into Jace, Telepath Unbound, and flashes back pivotal spells from the graveyard. The mid-to-late game revolves around stacking loyalty counters across Jace planeswalkers and Jace tokens via cards like Way of the Mind Sculptor, Protege's Awakening, and Jace's Machinations. Once 25 total loyalty counters are amassed, Jace, Reality Sculptor exiles each opponent's library down to a single card, forcing an inevitable table-wide mill defeat. Backup win conditions include Jace, Wielder of Mysteries self-mill and Laboratory Maniac, giving the deck resilient avenues to close out prolonged multiplayer games.
