Format: Commander

Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Simic +1/+1 counter swarm deck is helmed by The Astonishing Ant-Man, a commander that grows itself with each card you draw and can convert those counters into a tide of 1/1 Insect tokens. The primary game plan revolves around establishing card-draw engines, spreading +1/+1 counters across the board, and overwhelming opponents with a wide, pumped-up creature base. Key enablers like Defense of the Heart, The World Spell, and Unnatural Growth accelerate the board while threats such as Hornet Queen and Ulvenwald Hydra provide reach and inevitability. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through incremental combat damage, leveraging counter doublers and token generation to break parity in a midrange slugfest.
