Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Dragon tribal strategy led by Ganax, Astral Hunter and the Background Feywild Visitor. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the opening turns, casting Ganax on Turn 4 to start producing Treasure tokens, and using Feywild Visitor to generate Faerie Dragon tokens whenever nontoken creatures deal combat damage. These tokens trigger Ganax repeatedly, creating a compounding mana and token engine. The deck translates this board presence into lethal pressure through explosive damage multipliers such as Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, and Utvara Hellkite. High-impact spells like Cyclonic Rift and kicked Rite of Replication provide board-breaking finishes. While the deck relies on creature combat and board presence, a robust suite of efficient countermagic and flexible bounce spells protects its engines and disrupts opposing strategies, closing out the table around Turn 7.
