Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck is built around Vivi Ornitier, utilizing its noncreature spell trigger to ping each opponent for 1 damage while growing its power. By attaching a damage-draw effect like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout, every noncreature spell draws three cards, creating a self-fueling storm engine. Vivi's zero-mana activated ability converts its accumulated power into massive bursts of blue and red mana, allowing the pilot to chain cantrips and rituals across a single explosive turn. The deck finishes by burning the table out with continuous Vivi pings, storm payoffs like Aetherflux Reservoir and Grapeshot, or the compact Niv-Mizzet, Parun infinite draw-ping combo. A dense suite of free and efficient counterspells protects the winning turn.
