Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis combat spellslinger list commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The primary game plan revolves around casting Azula on Turn 3 or 4, attacking to generate firebending red mana, and casting instant-speed spells during combat to copy them. By duplicating combat tricks like Bulk Up, card draw like Big Score, and direct burn like Comet Storm, the deck creates immense card advantage and sudden lethal commander damage. Flash enablers such as Leyline of Anticipation, High Fae Trickster, and Borne Upon a Wind allow sorceries and permanents to be cast and doubled during the attack step as well. Secondary engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Archmage Emeritus generate substantial mana and cards from every cast and copy. Win conditions range from rapid single-target commander knockouts to table-wide burn via Storm King's Thunder and an infinite token/bounce loop with Dualcaster Mage and Sublime Epiphany.
